After a very successfull adventure in South America in 2001-2002, it is time for another big trip.

Once the travel bug enters the brain, it stays there forever.

Already a year ago I started dreaming about doing a trip to South East Asia.

And as I said last time "You know how these dreams come and are always there, but you never actually start working on realizing them.

Now is the time to do it."

Keep on tripping!

After a very successfull South America trip in 2001-2002, me and Sofie got hungry for more. Sofe and Wim in Barcelona 2004So soon after I came back in August 2002, I already decided that South East Asia would be the next target. After some financial planning we decided to go for it in August 2004. In April we already bought the ticket, open for one year...

We made a rough planning, to see most of South East Asia. We flew to Bangkok, Thailand on the 29th of August and Sofie returned from the same Bangkok, in the middle of March. As my travel partner Sofie had financial restrictions, she could only join for a few months, So I decided to do my planning for the next half year on the fly. We kind of followed the plan we made, from Thailand explored Laos, Vietnam, Cambodja. Then we moved over Thailand to Malaysia and Malaysian Borneo. From there we covered Indonesia from Eastern Flores, all the way to Borobudur on Java.

Of all possible options I decied to spent the next half year down under, 5 months of New Zealand with a short 3 week intermezzo in Australia in May.

Many thanks

to Katrien and Paul for helping me out with the design of this website !
